Radon Calculator Worked Example

One run of the radon mitigation cost calculator, line by line: the inputs, each published range, and the total.

Worked example: an 1,800 sq ft home on a basement slab, a sub-slab system with one suction point, the pipe up an exterior wall, a permit required and a professional retest. The low ends add to the low total and the high ends to the high total. EPA's 2010 guide gave $800 to $2,500 for sub-slab suction, in 2010 dollars, so the result sits where both sources overlap.
